Meet Our Founder
My parents (both retired middle school teachers) built a cottage when I was three years old, and my family spent every summer there exploring the Northern Wisconsin woods, looking at the stars, laying in the hammock, and swimming. I loved being outside, and my passion for the outdoors has steadily grown. From car camping and backpacking, to skiing and sledding; from dirtbiking and mountain biking to sitting by a pristine lake enjoying the serenity, being outside is my happy place.
Professionally, I love creating content that helps brands increase revenue, connect with current and future customers, and educate employees and consumers about products, sales tactics, and company initiatives. With more than 15 years as a content producer, I’ve directed and produced more than 1,500 videos, created more than 50 eLearning courses, crafted long-form copy, and written more than 200 gear reviews. I’ve hosted and MC’d events, developed marketing campaigns, co-developed an online education department, and, in one year, increased a magazine’s email open rate 14 percent.
